Leukaemia Care is proud to announce the continuation of our inspiring partnership with Dalata Hotel Group, as they renew their commitment to three incredible charities – Leukaemia Care, the Marie Keating Foundation, and Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, for a further three years, through to 2028.
Since 2022, Dalata’s dedicated employee ambassadors, known as the Difference Makers, have raised over €900,000 for health and wellbeing charities. Their energy, creativity and compassion have made an enormous impact and we’re thrilled that this life-changing journey will continue.
As part of the renewed partnership, Dalata has set an ambitious new goal: to raise over €1 million by 2028. This powerful commitment will allow Leukaemia Care to continue providing vital support to people affected by leukaemia across the UK.
Transforming lives through CAR-T support
Thanks to the generosity of Dalata and its Difference Makers, we have been able to create and deliver the CAR-T Away from Home service. This programme offers crucial help to patients undergoing CAR-T therapy, an innovative and often last-chance treatment for blood cancer by covering the cost of travel and accommodation near specialist hospitals.
To date, more than 200 patients, family members or carers have benefited from the programme, with over 445 nights of accommodation provided. In addition, Dalata hotels have offered heavily discounted stays, easing the financial burden for families who often have to travel an average of 100 miles to receive treatment.
Colin Dyer, Chief Executive of Leukaemia Care, said:
“We are thrilled and honoured to be extending our partnership with Dalata for another three years. Their remarkable support has already made a profound difference to families facing the toughest of journeys. This renewed commitment means we can continue to stand by those affected by leukaemia, and we are incredibly grateful on behalf of those people that this partnership has helped to support.”
Hospitality with heart
Dalata’s renewed partnerships are a testament to the strong relationships built over the past three years and reflect the company’s belief that hospitality is not just about service—it’s about people, compassion, and community.
Dermot Crowley, CEO of Dalata Hotel Group, shared:
“Hospitality is about people – and that’s exactly what social impact is too. Our Difference Makers embody that connection. They’ve not only raised significant funds but built genuine partnerships with charities doing essential work across Ireland and the UK. We’re incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved, and excited to see how the next phase of our social impact journey unfolds.”
Dalata’s support helps Leukaemia Care continue to improve the lives of patients and families living with blood cancer—by making it possible for us to be there when it matters most.
As we move forward together into the next stage of this partnership, we are excited to see what the Difference Makers will achieve and how many more lives we’ll be able to touch.
To the Dalata team: thank you for standing with us. You are truly making a difference.
