As a charity we are actively involved in campaigning on behalf of patients and their carers, which we feel is an important part of the work that we do. We are passionate about doing everything we can to improve the experience of patients throughout their cancer journey.

We run campaigns throughout the year, and need you to get involved and help raise awareness.

What is campaigning and advocacy?

As a charity we are actively involved in campaigning on behalf of patients and their carers, which we feel is an important part of the work that we do. We are passionate about doing everything we can to improve the experience of patients throughout their cancer journey.

Patient Advocacy Groups

We are involved with a number of organisations and coalitions on your behalf which, through collaborative working, aim to ensure that the collective voice of blood cancer patients is heard.

Working with the pharmaceutical industry

We work with the pharmaceutical industry to ensure that they take the interests of patients into account when developing new drugs and treatments for blood cancer patients.

Health Technology Appraisals

This involves working with bodies such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) and the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) to ensure that the views of patients are taken into account when making decisions over access to drugs and treatments.

Chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (CMML)
