Learn about Leukaemia

What is Leukaemia?

Leukaemia is a type of blood cancer that affects your white blood cells. It starts in the bone marrow, where blood cells are made. When you have leukaemia, your body makes abnormal white blood cells that don't work properly.

There are several types of leukaemia, and treatment depends on which type you have and how quickly it develops.
