Information and patient resources impact
Leukaemia Care provides trusted information about leukaemia and related blood cancers. Our resources are for patients, families and healthcare professionals.
How we support people
A diagnosis of blood cancer can be challenging. People need clear and reliable information to help them understand their condition. This can help them make treatment decisions. And learn how to live well with their condition.
We cover:
- Acute and chronic leukaemia
- Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)
- Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN)
Our resources are clear, accurate and accessible. We aim to help people feel more informed about their care.
We offer a wide range of information in different formats. This includes information hubs on our website. We also offer digital and printed booklets. And downloadable factsheets and leaflets.
Our health information is evidence-based, up-to-date, and PIF-tick accredited. This helps ensure it reflects current medical knowledge and best practice. We develop our resources with input from healthcare professionals. Plus people with lived experience of blood cancer.
In 2025:
- We published 45 new or updated patient information resources
- We sent out almost 15,000 printed booklets or leaflets
- 95% of people who took our survey found our information helpful
Our resources help people better understand their diagnosis. This helps them make informed decisions about their care.
