Our booklets, leaflets, and online guides are a vital resource for patients and families. Patient Information Reviewers make sure these materials are clear, accurate, and sensitive, reflecting the needs of people who are newly diagnosed or living with leukaemia.

Summary

Volunteer as a Patient Information Reviewer with Leukaemia Care and help ensure our booklets are clear, accurate, and supportive.

What you'll do

  • Read and review draft patient information documents.
  • Consider how the information feels for someone newly diagnosed.
  • Suggest improvements on clarity, sensitivity, and completeness.
  • Communicate feedback to our team by email.

What you'll gain

Time commitment

  • Ad hoc, depending on when new or updated resources are ready.
  • Reviews are done remotely, usually by email, within an agreed timeframe.

Who can apply

This role is open to:

  • Patients with lived experience of leukaemia, MDS, or MPN.
  • Carers or family members with personal experience.
  • People comfortable reading about sensitive topics.
  • Over 18's only.

  • Continuous support from our Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Opportunities to join other projects and roles if you wish.
  • Access to our volunteer community for peer support.
