Our Facebook support groups give people a safe space to connect and share their experiences. Volunteer Moderators help us make sure these groups remain welcoming, supportive, and safe for everyone.
Summary
Volunteer as a Facebook Support Group Moderator with Leukaemia Care and help run safe, supportive online spaces for people affected by leukaemia.
What you’ll do
- Approve and welcome new members.
- Monitor posts and comments to ensure group rules are followed.
- Encourage supportive and respectful discussion.
- Flag safeguarding or welfare concerns to our staff team.
- Work with Leukaemia Care staff to keep the group safe and positive.
What you'll gain

Time commitment
- Flexible, but ideally checking the group daily.
- Regular contact with our staff team for support.
Who can apply
This role is open to people who are:
- Confident using Facebook and online communities (full training will also be given)
- Empathetic and respectful of different experiences.
- Committed to safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Over 18 years old.
How we’ll support you
- Full training on safeguarding, confidentiality, and group management.
- Ongoing supervision and check-ins from the Volunteering Manager.
- Access to our volunteer community for peer support.
