Spot Leukaemia Swear Jar Challenge

Fundraising isn’t a dirty word.

Swearing can cost you... but this time, for a good cause.

As part of our Spot Leukaemia campaign, we’re asking people to turn everyday swearing into fundraising. Set up your own swear jar at home, at work or with friends, or donate to our online swear jar instead.

It’s simple, fun, and gets people talking about the signs and symptoms of leukaemia, helping more people spot them sooner.

Turn your swearing into something good

We’ve all heard of a swear jar. Say a bad word, put some money in. Simple.

As part of our Spot Leukaemia campaign, we’re putting a new spin on it.

Our campaign is all about helping people spot the signs and symptoms of leukaemia earlier. Things like bruising, tiredness, bleeding, night sweats and repeated infections. Symptoms that are easy to brush off or explain away.

We’re using words that look like swear words to grab attention and get people thinking.

And now we’re asking you to turn that idea into fundraising.

Because fundraising isn’t a dirty word either.

Create your own swear jar

Set up a jar at home, at work, or with friends. Every time someone swears, they pay in. Maybe it’s 50p. Maybe £1. Maybe more for the really bad ones. Run it for a day, a week or longer. Whatever works for you. It’s easy to do and gets people talking.

Don’t fancy running your own? You can add to our online swear jar instead. Every donation helps us keep supporting people living with leukaemia and their families.

Why it matters

Leukaemia can be hard to spot.

The symptoms are often vague and can look like lots of other things.

That’s why awareness matters.

By taking part, you’re helping us spread the word and raise money so we can continue to provide support, information and advice to anyone affected by leukaemia.

It might start with a swear jar.

But it could help someone spot the signs sooner.

And that could make all the difference.
