From ancient landmarks to vibrant city streets, this is a marathon experience like no other.
The experience
The Rome Marathon offers a mostly flat route through the city, making it a great option for runners of all abilities.
Along the way, you’ll pass some of Rome’s most famous landmarks, including:
- The Colosseum
- St Peter’s Basilica
- The Spanish Steps
- Piazza Navona
With around 30,000 runners taking part, the atmosphere is electric, with crowds lining the streets and cheering you on from start to finish.
The race typically takes place in March, offering ideal running conditions with mild spring temperatures.
