About the Paris Marathon 2026


The Paris Marathon is one of Europe’s most spectacular races. Starting on the Champs-Élysées, this closed-road route takes you past world-famous landmarks including the Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, the Eiffel Tower and along the River Seine, finishing at Avenue Foch near the Arc.

With its historic streets, iconic atmosphere and incredible crowd support, the Paris Marathon is a bucket-list event for runners worldwide.

When is the Paris Marathon 2026?

The event takes place on Sunday 12 April 2026.

Where does the Paris Marathon start and finish?

The race starts on the Champs-Élysées and finishes on Avenue Foch, close to the Arc de Triomphe.

Is the Paris Marathon flat?
