About the event

Take on the Jurassic Coast Trek

Join #TeamLC on a spectacular weekend adventure along England’s only natural World Heritage Site. The Jurassic Coast Trek takes you along dramatic coastal paths, ancient rock formations and world-famous landmarks, offering breathtaking views and a hugely rewarding trekking experience.

This two-day coastal trek follows sections of the South West Coast Path, combining natural beauty, history and shared achievement.

The experience

Your journey begins in Swanage, before setting off from Peveril Point and trekking towards Kimmeridge Beach, where you’ll have time to dip your toes in the sea or search for fossils among ancient rocks.

On day two, you’ll continue along the Dorset coastline, taking in sweeping views of Worbarrow Bay, the striking blue waters of Lulworth Cove, and finishing at the iconic Durdle Door — a natural limestone arch carved by the sea over thousands of years.

Expect steep climbs, undulating paths and dramatic cliff-top scenery throughout.

The itinerary

This is a 3-day weekend challenge.

Day 1
Meet at the hostel in Swanage in the early evening for a group meal and event briefing. Transport is available from Wareham train station.

Day 2

Trekking distance: approximately 14 miles.

Day 3
Kimmeridge to Durdle Door. Rejoin the coastal path and trek through Lulworth Ranges, taking in views of Worbarrow Bay and Lulworth Cove before finishing at Durdle Door. Transfer back to the hostel to collect belongings before heading home.
