Take on the Three Peaks Challenge

Join #TeamLC and take on one of the most famous trekking challenges in the UK. The Three Peaks Challenge sees you climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and WalesBen Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon — all within a demanding time window.

This is a tough but rewarding challenge that tests your stamina, teamwork and determination, with full support provided throughout.

The experience

Your adventure begins in Fort William, where you’ll tackle Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the UK. From there, the team travels south to the Lake District to climb Scafell Pike by night, before continuing on to Snowdonia National Park for the final ascent of Snowdon.

The challenge involves approximately 22 miles of walking and 9,500 feet of ascent, with a target trekking time of 15 hours or less and a maximum available trekking time of 18 hours. It’s no surprise this is one of the most respected trekking challenges in the UK.

Support on the challenge

This is a physically demanding challenge, but you won’t be doing it alone. Our experienced guides and support team will be with you throughout, offering encouragement, care and motivation every step of the way — including through the night transfers between mountains.

With the right mindset and teamwork, this classic challenge is achievable and incredibly rewarding.

Important information

Due to the complexity of the itinerary and contracted staff working hours, strict cut-off times apply:

Participants who do not meet interim cut-off times will be required to return with a guide to the waiting support team. While we encourage everyone to do their best, safety and wellbeing must always come first.
