Following a blood cancer diagnosis, you will have many questions. Some of these may relate to changes to your appearance during cancer treatment.

Some people worry that the appearance-related side effects of treatment will draw attention to the fact that they have cancer, which can affect their self-esteem.

It is important that you are aware of any side effects of your treatment as this can help you to prepare and manage them to give you more control over your body.

Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML)

Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is a form of blood cancer, which affects the white blood cells known as myeloid cells. It is a slowly progressing form of leukaemia. Approximately 750 people are diagnosed with leukaemia every year in the UK and CML makes up about 15 out of every 100 cases.
