COVID-19 update, where we are today and what is in place to help protect me this winter?

The aim of this webinar is to inform leukaemia patients and their families on COVID-19 recommendations and available strategies to aid navigating during the coming winter.

26 September 2022

Join us tomorrow on Monday 26th September as we’ll be joined by Professor and Honorary Consultant in Clinical Immunology, who will be discussing topics such as the flu vaccine, and COVID-19 boosters, as well as providing advice on staying healthy this winter.

What questions and advice will be covered?
Due to the high number of attendees, we are not always able to answer each individual’s question, however, we aim to explore a large variety of topics such as:

  • Who is eligible for seasonal flu jabs and COVID-19 boosters this autumn and winter?
  • When are these available to different groups?
  • What type of vaccines are recommended this year?
  • What day-to-day measures should leukaemia patients employ this winter to avoid infection?
  • What other therapies are available or under review for protecting the immunocompromised?

We will be joined by:

Professor Alex Richter, Honorary Consultant in Clinical Immunology, Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy
