This winter, our appeal is called The Unseen Gift. It’s a reminder that not all gifts come in boxes, or with bows. Some don’t sit under the tree or sparkle in shop windows — but they still change lives.
Because when you support Leukaemia Care, what you give goes far beyond anything material.
You help someone who’s just been diagnosed to make sense of terrifying new words.
You help a partner or parent breathe a little easier, knowing there’s a helpline to call.
You help a patient find a friendly face at an online support group, or connect to someone who’s been there through our Buddy Service.
You help someone struggling financially to understand the benefits they are entitled to.
These are the kinds of support that don’t make headlines. But they matter.
They don’t come with wrapping paper or a price tag. But they’re real, and they’re powerful.
They’re unseen, but deeply felt.
At this time of year, we’re surrounded by messages about gifts. The perfect present. The must-have item. But for someone living with leukaemia, what they really need can’t be bought in a shop. They need understanding. Connection. Clarity. And someone to say, “You’re not alone.”
That’s what your donation makes possible.
Thanks to your support, we can keep being there for patients like Alan, who turned to us after his diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). He and his wife needed answers. Reassurance. And someone who understood. The emotional toll of telling their children. The financial pressure. The fear of what came next. We were there through it all — because people like you made that possible.
So this winter, we’re asking you to give again.
Give something that won’t be wrapped or ribboned — but will bring warmth, comfort and care to someone who desperately needs it.
It won’t go under the tree.
But it will be felt.
Donate to our Unseen Gift appeal this winter and know that your donation will be the gift that keeps on giving, quietly, long into 2026. Thank you.
