Our Cardiff BMT Support Group is supported and attended by the Haematology Team of University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. The group welcomes autologous and post-transplant patients (post 3-month isolation period) to receive practical information and emotional support post-transplant.

The group welcomes patients, relatives and friends.

Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML)

Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is a form of blood cancer, which affects the white blood cells known as myeloid cells. It is a slowly progressing form of leukaemia. Approximately 750 people are diagnosed with leukaemia every year in the UK and CML makes up about 15 out of every 100 cases.
