Swim 10 FAQs

Find out more about our Swim 100 challenge along with some frequently asked questions.

I’d love to do this challenge – how do I sign up?

It’s easy to sign up to our challenge – all you need to do is create a Facebook fundraiser here.

Don’t want to fundraise on Facebook? We’ve also created a fundraising page on GivePenny too – simply click here and create your own fundraising page.

When does the challenge start?

The challenge starts whenever you’d like it to. You might want to start at the beginning of a month but make it suit you.

How do I keep track of and share my progress?

We’ve created a paper tracker where you can track how many lengths you’re doing by day and share online. You might find that every time you share your progress, somebody chooses to donate to you.

Other ways to share your progress might be to take a selfie outside the local swimming pool before or after your swim – what creative ways can you think of to promote your fundraising?

What if I don’t complete the challenge?

Do your very best – anything you achieve and raise will be making a huge difference to the people we support.

Where can I swim?

We would recommend swimming at your local pool if you are looking to count the number of lengths you’re doing. If it helps, we’ll slip a locker token into your pack once you’ve received your first donation.

How do I raise money?

Share your fundraising page on social media and tell friends and family what you are doing. If you work somewhere with emails, why not share your page amongst colleagues?

How do I get my swimming badge?

Once you’ve received your first donation, we’ll be in touch about how you can order your swimming badge.

How do I get my towel?

If you manage to raise £350, you’ll get a Leukaemia Care branded towel sent out to you – it’s as simple as that.

How do I get people to sponsor me?

It’s really easy to share your Fundraising page on Facebook – there is a share button which will share the information publicly. You can even invite people to see your fundraising page by using the invite button.

Can teams take part?

Absolutely! If you would like to take part as a team, please email us at fundraising@leukaemiacare.org.uk.

How can I get friends and family involved?

Keep updating people with your progress – they’ll want to know how you’re getting along. Why not ask them to do some of the lengths with you?
