Some blood cancer treatments can affect your taste making it hard to enjoy eating and motivate you to eat. But by making small changes you can make food more enjoyable.

Sometimes after being treated for cancer, your taste may change, although this is usually temporary. This may mean foods you previously liked aren’t enjoyable, all foods taste the same, or you may notice a metallic taste in your mouth.

Occasionally, you may not be able to taste anything at all. This can make getting the right amount of calories difficult as you may get no pleasure from eating.
