Providing support to anyone affected by blood cancer
Need to boost your CV? Or maybe you just want to get some volunteer experience? Look no further than our Student Ambassador Programme, a flexible scheme bursting with opportunities to sink your teeth into!
If you’re thinking about writing your university application, creating a CV or applying for a part-time job, volunteering experience is something that can really make you stand out from the rest.
Volunteering experience shows that you are a driven individual who cares about a particular cause and is willing to give up their free time to dedicate to this.
Our student programme is designed to help develop your skills. From organising a fundraising or awareness event, to promoting the charity and helping the Leukaemia CARE team, there are lots of ways to get involved in a range of different roles.
Everyone is different. You may have loads of ideas that you can’t wait to get going with and your school or college may have a great base for you to start from. Or you may really want to get some volunteering experience but may not know how to get started.
Luckily, we have an information sheet which can help outline some of the roles you can get involved in.
Signing up is easy. Download our sign up form and fill in the details. Once this is done, post your completed form to Leukaemia CARE, One Birch Court, Blackpole East, Worcester, WR3 8SG or scan your completed form and email it to email@example.com.
Our Student Fundraising Team will then look at your application and contact you as well as your school or college (if under the age of 18) to let them know you will be a Student Ambassador for us.
As there are many blood cancer types that can develop from an early age, universities are a great place to spread awareness. If you already have awareness raising and fundraising plans of how to get started that’s great! Many universities and their students will be highly supportive of any positive initiatives so it will be really easy for you to start and recruit other volunteers. Or you may really want to make a difference and get involved in volunteer work but may be unsure how to start.
If you are struggling for ideas, we have an information sheet which can give you some inspiration for activity you can get involved in.
Our Student Fundraising Team will then look at your application and will be in touch with the next steps.
