Changes to your skin

Your skin may experience changes during blood cancer treatment, but there are ways that you can manage this to reduce discomfort.

You may experience changes to your skin throughout treatment. Dryness, soreness, sensitivity and itchiness of the skin are common side effects of cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy. These side effects can be uncomfortable and there is a chance that they may continue after treatment. Managing these side effects can help to alleviate the problem and make you more comfortable whilst undergoing treatment. You may find that you need to care for your skin differently  than before treatment.
