Support groups

We run and co-ordinate many support groups for patients and their families affected by any blood cancer including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, so you can share information and experiences with other people in your local area.

Some of our groups are for a specific blood cancer, but the majority are general haematology groups that welcome anyone affected by any blood cancer.

Some groups are run by patients family members, others are facilitated by a member of our team or healthcare professionals such as nurses or counsellors. They vary in size, meeting frequency, format and venue, but their aim is the same – to offer support locally for people facing blood cancer.

To ensure that we are providing the right support for blood cancer patients, we also list independent groups on our website which are not run or managed by Leukaemia CARE. However, this means that we are unable to take responsibility for the level of support offered at these groups, but we do our best to ensure that they are offering a good standard of support.
