On September 22nd it’s World CML Day, where patients across the world will be raising awareness for those living with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML).

The aim of World CML Day is to recognise the courage and hope required to live with CML, and call for access to the best available treatment and care for all patients worldwide.

Members of the CML Advocates Network, which comprises of over 90 patient advocacy groups, across 68 countries, are honouring World CML Day by holding events in their respected communities.

The needs of patients vary greatly in each country. CML patient communities have a clear goal: To ensure all CML patients have access to affordable treatment and care.

On World CML Day, the CML Advocates Network will release a new book called ‘Faces of Courage and Hope’, that provides an insight into the journey of 16 CML patients in 15 countries. Men and women of all ages and different ethnicities share their unique life experience and journey in coping with CML.
