Worcestershire-based law firm, Thursfields, is helping to raise funds for us, by encouraging people to make Wills during the week commencing 8th June.

The legal firm is offering its services and expertise to draw up a simple single Will or a couples’ Will free of charge, but recommends that anyone making a Will under this scheme donates £65 for a single Will or £110 for a couples’ Will. All money raised during this week will help to fund our early diagnosis project for GPs which will help to reduce the delays blood cancer patients face in diagnosis.

Tom Evans, Associate Solicitor at Thursfields, says: “Many people put off having a Will but having one in place means you’ll have peace of mind that when you pass away, your loved ones are protected and provided for according to your wishes.”

“We are passionate about supporting local charities and admire the excellent work that Leukaemia CARE does for the patients and families who are affected by a blood cancer. As a firm, we believe Leukaemia CARE performs an invaluable role in raising awareness of blood cancers and the importance of early diagnosis and want to support them in this respect. We are proud to be able to help such a worthy cause and we hope that the money raised will help them continue with the invaluable support they provide.”

Kevin Hateley, Fundraising Manager at Leukaemia CARE, comments: “We are so grateful for the support from Thursfields. Making a Will is so important and we would encourage everyone in the area to consider making a Will with Thursfields during the week commencing the 8thJune.”

Anyone who would like to make a Will with us during Wills week should call 01905 730 450 to speak to either Tom Evans or Zoe Perry to arrange an appointment between the 8th and 12th of June.
