Volunteering opportunities in the West Midlands

We're calling for volunteers across the West Midlands to help with awareness initiatives in Tesco stores across the Midlands.

We've secured spots at ten West Midlands-based Tesco stores for bucket collections in order to raise awareness and funds for the charity. We're looking for up to six people to help at each location to help in our awareness campaign on various dates in July and August.

We hope that by getting volunteers out and about into these local supermarkets they can raise awareness of their services and raise much-needed funds which help to support the 24-hour Care Line, nationwide local support groups, patient conferences and the early diagnosis project for GPs.

Michaela Camfield, Community Fundraising Officer at Leukaemia CARE, said: “The efforts of the local community never cease to amaze me and this is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to get out and about and volunteer for a great cause. We are always looking for people to get involved and help raise the profile of the charity.”
