From June 1st 2014, East London Textiles will be carrying out house-to-house collections on our behalf, meaning you’ll be able to recycle your unwanted clothes to help us in our mission to support people affected by blood cancer.

With over 30 years experience, East London Textiles specialises in recycling and exporting used clothing and shoes. They are one of the largest textile recycling companies in the UK and will be dropping Leukaemia CARE branded collection bags in areas up and down the UK.

All of their collections are permitted by the local councils and all bags will feature a dedicated helpline number and email address for any enquiries relating to our collection.

Helen Whatmore, our fundraising manager, said: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with East London Textiles and raising money from items people would have otherwise thrown away.”

The Director of East London Textiles, Darren Collins, has a relative with a blood cancer and so this partnership has both a personal as well as commercial connection.

He said: “Working with Leukaemia CARE means we can help them to continue to provide support to people affected by blood cancer when they need it most.”

We will receive at least £40,000 from the three year partnership.
