To celebrate our 45th birthday in September, a team of 17 daredevils will take to the skies to wing walk and raise money for Leukaemia CARE.

The big day will take place on Saturday 20th September at Leicester Aero Club. Here’s a bit more about some of our brave participants.

Emma Richards

Emma was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) in August 2013. Since then, she has supported Leukaemia CARE by holding a Burns Night fundraiser and even persuading her sister, Jenny Crane, to take part in a skydive for us. For this event she’s gone one better and roped in her sister, aunt and a close friend to complete the wing walk.

Beverley Francis-Green

Beverley was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) 10 years ago and decided to wing walk for us as a thank you for the support she and her family received.

Alan Naylor

Alan is one of our long-standing community ambassadors. Over the past 10 years, Alan has raised over £15,000 for Leukaemia CARE through a range of events, from weekly quiz nights, discos and a skydive. Alan was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in 1999.

Alan Clark

Alan is a carer for his wife who was diagnosed with a blood cancer some time ago. The role of a carer is vital and we’re proud to offer support to patients, carers, families and medical professionals.
