Here at Leukaemia CARE, we are thrilled to be teaming up with Help Harry Help Others charity as we set about launching our new Birmingham support group.

Following the very successful pilot run in Heartlands Hospital, we’re working together to launch a brand new support group with meetings open for anyone affected by blood cancer which will be held every two months!

Providing practical and emotional support to patients and families on Ward 19 of Heartlands Hospital, the CARE team at Leukaemia CARE recognised the need for a support group in the Birmingham area and we are now busy working together with the Birmingham based charity getting ready for the first meeting on the 23rd August, 2016.

Lead consultant at Heartlands Hospital, Manos Nikolousis, told us: “It’s brilliant news that Leukaemia CARE and Help Harry Help Others are joining forces, because it means they can provide even more support to those affected by blood cancer in the Birmingham area in order to achieve the best outcomes for their diseases”.

We are thrilled to provide our services in the Birmingham area and to be working with the Birmingham based charity, Help Harry Help Others. If you’d like to come along to to our Birmingham support group, come along to the Help Harry Help Others Drop in Centre for a cup of tea and and a chat with others who are going through the same thing as you.
