We are currently looking for a Campaigns and Advocacy Officer to join our Campaigning and Advocacy team at our Head Office in Worcester.

The work of our Campaigning and Advocacy department involves representing the views and interests of patients to policy makers and regulatory bodies in order to ensure that they are taken into account. We campaign for any improvement we can on behalf of blood cancer patients, but our main areas of focus are patient wellbeing; NHS funding and the availability of drugs and treatment.

In order to ensure we use our influence to affect policies on behalf of patients, we work closely with other cancer charities, patient advocate groups and cancer and health ‘umbrella’ groups which lobby on behalf of cancer patients.

By working with the Head of Campaigns and Advocacy you will help to influence policy which impacts the lives of people affected by blood cancers, project manage the work relating to health technology appraisals (NICE, SMC and AWMSG), develop and implement Leukaemia CARE campaigns and policy initiatives and provide administrative support to the Head of Campaigns and Advocacy.

This is an excellent opportunity if you wish to start a career in campaigns and advocacy.  No previous experience is required but you’ll need to have excellent writing, organisational and communication skills and be the kind of person who thrives in a small, team environment.

For further information on the role, read the job description here.  The deadline for applications is Friday 19th June. To apply for the role, please send your CV and cover letter to
