Ben’s Day in aid of Leukaemia CARE

This year, we’re honoured to be involved in Ben’s Day on Sunday 24th May, a Fun Run to raise money in memory of Ben Johnson who sadly passed away from leukaemia when he was 17.

Ben's parents, Neil and Donna, as well as a close family friend, Sharan, set up The Ben Johnson Forget Me Not Foundation in March 2010, with the aim of supporting people affected by blood cancers.

Ben was never diagnosed with leukaemia. It was only after he passed away that his family discovered he had acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). He was extremely fit and healthy and he didn’t have any obvious clues that he was unwell.

Because of this, Ben’s family campaign in relation to early diagnosis and fund research projects which specifically investigate early diagnosis of the disease.
