Support Groups
We know that a diagnosis of a blood cancer can be unsettling, frightening and upsetting, whether it is your diagnosis or the diagnosis of somebody you know. Being around others who have been on that journey themselves can be invaluable.
Our support groups provide help and advice to patients, carers and their families somewhere that is local to you. We coordinate and maintain groups up and down the UK, each with dedicated volunteers and a range of carers, patient and family members.
I have found the group a tremendous support for me. When I was first diagnosed in 2004, I was full of despair and since coming to the group and seeing people who had survived, I was given hope and a realisation that I can win this battle.
Take a look below to find a support group near you. If you would like any more information, call our CARE Team on 08088 010 444.
Want to set up a group near you? We are always on the look out for opportunities to expand our support groups in new areas. Are you somebody who would like to organise one in your area? Or do you work at a hospital that would be interested in having its own support group? To get further information on support groups, or for help setting up your own, please call the CARE Line on 08088 010 444 or email us.
