New Year, New Challenge

You may have already planned to make some personal resolutions like eating less chocolate, having one less glass of wine a week; but why not try something bigger and better? Taking on a trekking challenge is not only a fantastic way to raise money for Leukaemia CARE, it’s a great opportunity to take on a personal challenge, meet new people and see some of the world’s most amazing scenery. Leukaemia CARE relies heavily on donations and fundraising and without it we would be unable to provide our support and services to those who greatly need it.

Why not do something different to the typical bake sales and car washes to something thrilling and exciting? Even though these community fundraising events are invaluable to us as a charity, our overseas treks provide that extra element of challenge and are a once in a lifetime opportunity. Team that adrenaline-filled experience with the feel good factor of doing something that could really raise a lot of money to help people faced with blood cancers, and you’ll be onto a winner.

There is a wide range of trekking opportunities from the beginner level of the Ben Nevis challenge to the intermediate level of Three Peaks Challenge, to more ambitious treks of the Sahara Desert and the Great Wall of China, which not only provide stunning scenery but a mix of culture and tradition.

We know that signing up to a challenge like this may seem like an unreachable task especially with the fundraising goals, however Leukaemia CARE would support you every step of the way through your fundraising and preparation phase by trying to provide you with fundraising ideas to help you reach your fundraising goal. We would endeavour to help you in promoting your fundraising events and also providing you with regular hints and tips and support materials to ensure it’s a success.

So if you are struggling to stick to your usual new year’s resolutions and keeping your hands away from the cheeky chocolate after day one, sign up to try an unbelievably unique way of challenging yourself that will not only give you satisfaction, but will be massively helping other people.
