‘May the 4th be with you’ fundraising ideas

Don’t be a Rogue One this May 4th! Get stuck into our Star Wars themed fundraising ideas, and may the force be with you as you raise vital funds for blood cancer patients.

Star Wars Day may be a relatively new holiday, but its popularity is out of this world. This May the 4th, why not join in with the festivities and take on some Star Wars themed fundraising? So, grab your lightsaber and get ready for hyperspace, because we’ve got some great ideas for you.

Chew-bake sale

The trusty bake sale is always an excellent way to fundraise. Why not spice it up with some Star Wars themed cakes? You could bake a Millennium Falcon sponge cake, or even Death Star cake pops. Just make sure they’re not too Chewie…

Princess Leia party

Channel your inner rebel princess with a Princess Leia party. Try out Leia’s signature hair buns, or dress as one of the many characters in the Rebel Alliance. Whether you fancy yourself as a Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi, or perhaps you’re more of a Rey or Finn, there are more than enough characters for your guests to dress up as.

If you want to be really daring, why not crash the Rebel party as Darth Vader or Palpatine?

Stormtrooper sponsored walk

Storm to fundraising victory with a Stormtrooper themed sponsored walk. Dress up as the imposing Imperial soldiers as you and your troop march through the local terrain. Whether you get all your colleagues to walk to work, or attempt a trek in the countryside with your family and friends, it’s an excellent way to fundraise.

Star Wars moviethon

Perhaps the simplest way to raise money for the Star Wars theme is to host a Star Wars moviethon. Charge an entry fee as you and your guests watch the films back-to-back. You could choose just one trilogy, or try and watch them all, it’s up to you!

Sith vs Jedi football match

Pit the Light Side against the Dark Side as the Sith and Jedi battle for power in the ultimate football match. Get friends and family involved, or divide your work colleagues into teams, and see which side of the Force comes out on top.
