Make your extra day count

On Monday 29th February we’ll all gain an extra 24 hours – how will you make it count?

Luckily, we have some tips for you to get you started…

1. Take a ‘leap’ of faith and sign-up to one of our life-changing fundraising challenge events. From today (Friday 26th February 2016) until midnight on Monday 29th February 2016, you’ll be able to bag a free space in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival or Bournemouth Marathon Festival.

2. Spend the day raising money for blood cancer patients and their families. Involve your colleagues and friends and hold a bake sale, coffee morning or bucket collection to raise funds. Just £150 could fund one of our nurse advisors for a week.

3. Make a donation – £10 could provide a newly diagnosed patient with the information they need at an upsetting an vulnerable time. Or you can make a quick £5 donation by texting LCLC11 £5 to 70070.

4. Raise awareness of blood cancers – by sharing our video and symptoms card, you’ll be helping to save lives by making your friends and family aware of the signs to look out for – promoting earlier diagnosis.

Whatever you choose, make the extra day count and do something you normally wouldn’t.
