If you’re taking on a challenge or hosting an event for Leukaemia Care, it’s now easier than ever to raise money with Facebook’s new fundraising feature.

Many of you will be familiar with online giving websites like JustGiving. These platforms allow you to collect all your donations in one place, as friends, family and even strangers can easily donate to your chosen cause.

One of the best ways to let people know of your fundraising event or challenge is to advertise your online giving page on social media. From there, friends and family simply have to click a link to be taken to your page, where they can make a donation.

However, with Facebook’s new fundraising feature, your supporters no longer need to even click the link; they can donate right there on Facebook when you set up a fundraising page.

Setting up your Facebook fundraising page is easy. All you have to do is follow these steps:

  1. Head to www.facebook.com/fundraisers
  2. Click on ‘Raise money’
  3. Select ‘Charity’ and search for 'Leukaemia Care'
  4. Set a fundraising goal and end date for the fundraiser
  5. Give your fundraiser a title, such as ‘Sponsored head shave’, and describe why you’re fundraising for LC
  6. Select an eye-catching photo to draw people to your fundraiser
  7. And you’re done! All you have to do is to share your page with friends and family.

So, if you’re planning on organising an event for Leukaemia Care, or you’re taking on a challenge, why not set up your online giving page on Facebook?
