What is it?
An employer pays Statutory Sick Pay to an employee for a period of time of sickness.
Who is entitled?
- You must have been earning enough to pay National Insurance Contributions
- You must be an employee aged over 16 and under 65 on the first day of your period of interruption to work
- You must have been continuously sick for 4 or more days in a row
