Corporate Social Responsibility: CSR
The government has a challenging ambition; to motivate all UK businesses “to consider the economic, social and environmental impacts of their activities, wherever they operate in the world.” In the business sector Corporate Social Responsibility, or CSR, has become something of a buzz word.
Ambassadors Network
Leukaemia CARE is developing an Ambassadors network. We are looking for support from influential leaders in the business and/or community arena, who through their networks and contacts, can help us to spread the word about what Leukaemia CARE does and how we are helping those living with cancers of the blood, from leukaemia and lymphoma, Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma to myeloma and the allied blood disorders. Already amongst these Ambassadors are distinguished actors Patrick Stewart, (perhaps best known as Captain Picard in Star Trek and for his many roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company) and Timothy Spall, (known to millions as Barry in TV’s Auf Wiedersehn Pet and for numerous subsequent television and film appearances including ‘Harry Potter’)as well as many others who lend their name to Leukaemia CARE and promote the work we do.
