bills to payIn certain circumstances, Leukaemia CARE can
provide discretionary assistance to patients and
carers in need. This can include help towards utility bills, supermarket vouchers which can be used for food, or petrol for travel to hospital or small necessary household items.

We also provide a signposting service with respect
to welfare rights and other charities and
organisations that may be able to offer additional assistance.

 

Terms and conditions

 

The below terms are subject to the applicant meeting our criteria.

Financial support is open to all patients and carers who are no more than four years post diagnosis or, if there has been bereavement, no more than two years after this.

Those wishing to receive a grant from Leukaemia CARE would need to apply to the CARE Line in the first instance on 0800 169 6680, who will then forward the necessary forms for completion.

 

Before returning the completed forms the applicant would also be required to include a the item they are requesting to be paid.


Where electrical equipment is required, we provide vouchers for major retail outlets if the applicant is eligible.


Where an applicant may need help supporting funeral costs for a loved one, a contribution will be sent directly to the Funeral Director.


The Charity NEVER offers cash under any circumstances.

Grants generally take 14 to 30 days to complete depending on the request.
